Jan Schulte-Bunert, born 1976, began at just 14 years of age to win first prizes at competitions such as national "Jugend Musiziert" competitions and the international competition in Kerkrade.

He studied the saxophone at the Universität der Künste in Berlin with Johannes Ernst and at the Sweelinck-Conservatorium in Amsterdam with Arno Bornkamp. Later a DAAD scholarship enabled him to study in Lyon with Jean-Denis Michat.

He was a founding member of the saxophone quartet clair-obscur and works regularly with the Berlin Philharmonic. As a soloist he can often be seen on stage performing with renowned orchestras such as Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the orchestra of the Beethovenhalle Bonn.

In 2003 Jan Schulte-Bunert was awarded the "Deutscher Musikwettbewerb" prize and the Cronenpreis of the Holsten-Brauerei AG. 2007 his quartet clair-obscur became pricewinners at the International chamber music competition "ADMC" in Illzach, France and at the International "GAUDEAMUS" competition in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

As well as numerous concerts with his duo partner Florian von Radowitz, he regularly performs throughout Europe and the USA with his saxophone quartet. Jan Schulte-Bunert has already worked on many CD and radio productions.

Recently a portrait of him and his quartet could be heard on many german radio stations. He is professor at the international Master-class for classical saxophone in Laubach with Vincent David and Arno Bornkamp.

  Florian von Radowitz was born in 1978 in Sindelfingen. He was a student of Nora Huzly in Sindelfingen, Michael Hauber in Mannheim and Klaus Hellwig in Berlin. He also worked with Menahem Pressler, Wolfram Rieger and Thomas Quasthoff.

From a young age Florian von Radowitz began winning competitions such as first prizes in national "Jugend Musiziert"competitions, the Matthaes competition and the Tonkünstler competition. He also received 2nd prize at the international competition "Giovanni Concertisti" in Rome.

He has an extensive national and international performing schedule including concerts at the Berlin Philharmonic, Berlin Concert House and festivals such as the "Ludwigsburger Festspiele".

In the past he was a guest at renowned festivals and concert halls in Italy, Portugal, Spain, Bosnia Herzegowina, Canada, Chile, Argentinia, und Brasil.

Florian von Radowitz has made Radio-, TV- and CD- recordings for prominent german radio stations, portuguese Radio and brasilian TV. As a chamber musician he is in high demand. In autumn 2005 his first chamber music CD with saxophonist Jan Schulte-Bunert was published with the label "Ars Musici". Florian von Radowitz is accompanist at the international saxophone masterclass in Laubach.

As a trained piano teacher he is head of the musical departement of a private primary school with an emphasis on music and art.
